Easter Preparations...

There are some tradtitions which I would not want to miss in my life. One of them is to enjoy my grand mothers bunnies which she bakes every year for Easter. Since it is a little difficult for me to enjoy them this year, my sister had the great idea of giving me my grand mothers recipe as farewell present - well knowing that I´m usually totally useless when it comes to baking. However - it was a challange I was willing to take on and with the help of Paul, Guro and her boyfriend Paul we managed to bake some fine bunnies:

Expect the unexpected - Why Shanghai?

For nearly 10 years we have lived in a cosy little village settled amongst lush green vineries on the river rhine in Germany. Just about as we were getting ready to properly settle down, we were presented with this once in a life time opportunity to move for 2-3 years to Shanghai. Was it an expereince we have been looking for? No, it wasn´t. But it was a door that opened and after a little thinking we admitted that we were by far to curious to find out what there would lay behind it. So we decided to take a "left turn" in our life, to try out something new and to move here - An estimated 20 million people mega city, 8000km away. And what have we learnt? Expect the unexpected- always and for sure in our daily life in Shanghai.
